ABOUT FOREST ST.

Jared Hadfield
Jared Hadfield is a sculptor whose work bridges craftsmanship, architectural influence, and a deep appreciation for form and material. Born in Wisconsin in 1978 and raised in Olathe, Kansas, Jared showed an early passion for building and creating—constructing forts, bike ramps, and anything else that allowed him to work with his hands. This instinct for making would become a lifelong throughline in both his artistic and professional journey.

Jared earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sculpture from the University of Kansas, where he immersed himself in the local art scene. While a student, he worked in various roles in the vibrant Crossroads Art District of downtown Kansas City, gaining experience as an art handler, gallery assistant, and even helping build out gallery lofts. These experiences gave him a deep appreciation for both the creative and operational sides of the art world, as well as the architectural/design world.

After graduation, Jared traveled across the country exploring graduate programs and was accepted into the Boston Architectural College to study architecture. He completed one semester before realizing the program didn’t fully align with his goals. Instead, he founded a concrete fabrication company in Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in custom countertops, fireplace surrounds and anything that he could build or create a mold for. Over the next eight years, Jared built a thriving business—merging form, function, and artistry in every project.

In 2014, Jared moved to the coastal town of Marshfield, Massachusetts with his wife, Michele, a native of nearby Duxbury. There, he launched a construction and housing investment company focused on restoring and renovating, residential properties. Jared brought his signature blend of creativity, precision, and craftsmanship to each project—transforming distressed homes into thoughtfully enhanced living spaces for existing and future homeowners.

While raising a family, Jared continued to create art sporadically building custom furniture and participating in occasional juried exhibitions. In 2017, Jared and Michele purchased a new home in Marshfield. After completing an extensive renovation of their home, he designed and built what would become his private studio, Forest Street Studio. This 2,000+ square foot contemporary structure was completed in 2021 and now serves as the heart of his full-time studio practice.

Since returning to sculpture, Jared has exhibited work in group shows and juried exhibitions across the country. His work has been accepted into exhibitions in seven states and has earned over eleven awards, including multiple honors and Best in Show distinctions. He continues to operate his construction and investment business but now dedicates more of his time and focus to his studio practice and artistic career.

Jared Is committed to bringing innovative perspectives to the field of sculpture and design and welcomes the opportunity to engage with the creative vision of others. For inquiries, commissions, or collaboration's please feel free to, Send me a message anytime!
